Over 20 years ago, Durst Group revolutionized the ceramic tile industry with its digital printing systems, which are now used by nearly all tile manufacturers. Four years ago, Durst introduced the next step in innovation: Digital Glaze. This technology not only enhances the visual design of tiles but also adds tactile surface textures. Tiles can now look and feel like natural stone or wood or feature unique surface effects.

As with any groundbreaking technology, widespread market adoption takes time. However, the recent Tecna and Cersaie exhibitions made one thing clear: that time has arrived. Leading ink and glaze manufacturers such as Torrecid, Colorobbia, and Esmalglass, along with early adopters like Del Conca and Piemme, showcased their latest collections utilizing Durst’s Digital Glaze technology. Johann Strozzega, Global Sales Manager at Durst, expressed his satisfaction and optimism at the event.
