More than 70 specialists converged on our headquarters in Brixen, Italy, for our two-day Wallpaper Event Open House. Presentations and special demonstrations were made on our Durst Alpha Wallpaper Edition technology.

Representatives from Graham & Brown, Fotoba, AVA and Ahlstrom-Munksjö were among external specialists providing insights and expertise for the delegates.

One of the participants was Aaron Kirsch, CEO of wallcovering specialist Astek in Los Angeles, USA, who said: “We recently took possession of the new Durst P5 HS Series – and we love it. We are looking forward to the next progression in wallpaper, which for us has always been on the increase.”

Martin Winkler, Durst Group’s Business Manager, Textile and Wallpaper, said: “We had a great response to the Wallpaper Open House at our headquarters, and the feedback has been fantastic. The wallpaper industry has been going through a fickle time at the moment, with people all too aware of the pain points that are pushing them towards digital.  Energy costs are very high for conventional printing, and there is a lot of waste. However, digital production is providing them with the answers by dramatically reducing waste and energy costs.
